We recently got hold of various Crypto marketers, entrepreneurs and ICO brand managers and tried to understand their viewpoint, with respect to ad networks in Crypto Industry. How well they are placed currently and which ones are the best performing. Here is our first of many blogs from a series of blogs post featuring influencers from our Industry.
We recently got in touch with Yaroslav Belkin CEO & Founder at Belkin Marketing and got to know his viewpoint on current favorite and popular ad networks. Here is what he said ….
“Well, crypto ad networks were growing like mushrooms in the early part of this year. However, a good number of them have closed down or are inactive because they cannot get the needed inventory from publishers as well as clients to support the system.
Of course, you have Token Ad, CryptoCoins Ad, AdEx and a lot more. Instead of telling feedback on one particular company, let me share a more general thought. None of these ad platforms have gained sophistication as much as the traditional ad networks.
Decentralization is a significant cost reduction opportunity in the ad space, but it may take a year more for it to be entirely practically applicable for real needs with right inventories. So focus on the network that has a more extensive inventory, not lower cost. If the inventory is more, you get a better audience with your optimization and can gain quality conversion.
Lower price means cheaper traffic, not quality. Sometimes prices are lower not because the platform is decentralized, but because the traffic is from cheaper placements. Then focus on platform features. If it is a very basic platform, I rather skip it UNLESS it has a site that I need and I can get a better-priced inventory here than with the site directly. All ad networks share inventories in one way or the other.
Focus on those who have exclusive inventories. Shortlist by these criteria and feel free to run test campaigns in a few of them with all conditions being constant. Those who have proven better ROI and savings in multiple campaigns, use them moving forward. This is the process to adopt and with it, you will have successful campaigns irrespective of the ad network. Oh, finally, take suggestions and ideas from the ad network’s consultant or account manager, but do not just blindly follow it. It does not work 75% of the time. Make your educated judgment.
Mr. Belkin here strongly believes quality over quantity. According to him ad networks still have a long way to go both in terms of offerings (inventory, affiliates) and support from Crypto Owners.
