We all love the monsoon. It is a great relief after months under the scorching heat. However, how many of us plan to go on a vacation during the storm? Especially if it is something to do with trekking, we straight away say no, considering the high-risk factor during this season. What many don't realize is that monsoon is the time when flora and fauna around the Everest Base camp are at its best bloom. The sight is no more visible until the next storm.

Due to heavy rain, Everest Base Camp trails are bound to be wet, slippery and muddy. But the unhindered beauty of Mother Nature is truly at its best in monsoon.

Precautions to follow before going on Everest Base Camp Trek:

For doing EBC Trek, you must take care which will help you to solve the following problems.
• Wet and Muddy Trails

Due to rain, you will get many damp and muddy trails so better to wear functional boots which will create good friction and prevent slippage while you are walking. Stick also will be better to carry for your support.

• Mosquitoes and Leeches related problem

You may not get any mosquito there during other seasons, but due to rain, you might face some issues of leeches and mosquitoes. So better to carry some ointment or skin care products while trekking. Taking salt is also better for getting rid of leeches.

• Chances of Excessive Rainfall

You need to make sure that anytime heavy rainfall can happen, so you need to carry a raincoat with you. Your boot must be waterproof, which has a good grip. Another problem can be like flight delay, so be prepared for all types of situation.

Everest Trekking is difficult in monsoon season, compare to the other so a lot of problems can be expected. The positive aspect is you can observe a unique view of the Himalaya where you cannot see in another season. In this season, there is a fifty percent chance whether to have a wonderful trip or worst trip.
