Save More On Flights To Phuket And Explore Fabulous Islands
One of Thailand's southern provinces comprising the largest Thai island and 32 other islands, Phuket is located in the Andaman Sea off the western coast of the country. This island destination was once among the major routes of trade between China and India. The ship logs used by the English, Portuguese, Dutch, and French traders in the past have made a mention of this island. It is home to the enchanting Phuket mountain range, which stretches to about 440 kilometres from the Kra Isthmus. The island also houses Phuket International Airport, which handles about 6.5 million passengers in a year.
Upon booking your flights to Phuket several months in advance, you'll have greater savings for your time spent on the island. The amount saved can be utilised to explore popular attractions. Among them are the smaller islands located near the island of Phuket. You can get to some of these islands with the help of speedboat excursions and unwind in the midst of gorgeous natural surroundings and a pleasing serenity. Phi Phi islands are extremely popular among tourists for their awe-inspiring beauty and are made up of six islands. The largest and the only inhabited island among them is Koh Phi Phi Don.
Another group of islands worth exploring from Phuket is the Similans. They are part of a marine national park and are not inhabited, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy an unspoilt environment. Ranked among the world's best sites for diving, the Similan Islands can be visited by taking a day trip or as a part of short stopovers during one of such trips. You can find some ironwood and gum trees while exploring the Similans. They are also home to a variety of birds and animals, including the dusky langurs and crab-eating monkeys. You'll also enjoy some delightful moments while relaxing on the white sand beach.
Located about 20 kilometres south of Phuket are two islets known as Racha Islands. One of these islets is called Racha Noi and the other one is Racha Yai. They are popular among tourists for their world-class snorkelling and dive sites. Diving enthusiasts would be rewarded with some fabulous sights of marine life underwater as the waters surrounding the islands are home to some attractive varieties of fish. Racha Yai is where you can find some options in stay and the islet is also home to a small population of fishermen and farmers. If you wish to enjoy complete tranquillity, visit these islands after 4 in the evening.
Between the coasts of Krabi and Phuket are the Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi islands. It would take about 45 minutes to get to these islands from Phuket in a local ferry and about 20 minutes if you take a speedboat. Koh Yao Noi is more developed than Koh Yao Yai and presents some excellent choices in hotels. One of the best aspects of these islands is that they have not been massively developed. These islands also have a small community of farmers and fishermen, who've preserved their ancestral traditions even today.
