Varanasi ganga Aarti takes place every sunset at Dasaswamedh Ghat (Holy place), near Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
This Ceremony is Very Beautiful and Delightful to see and you can feel the Vibrations and Aura in the Temple premisies during this astonishing Ceremony.
It is very Different from Aaarti at Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Ganga Aarti Varanasi Procedure
This Aarti will be performed by the Young priests who are pursuing their Vedas and Upanishads. This group will be lead by Head Priest from Gangotri Seva Samiti. Devotees gather around the dais to watch this holy event. Aarti will be offered to the River Ganga amid chanting Mantras. Young priests will make the sounds using Conch shells. 7 priests will be offering Aarti to the Holy River Ganga by standing on the specially decorated dais. The whole process will be performed in rhythm with a unique dress code. Ganga Aarti will be performed with a 7 layered camphor lighting.
There is no ticket for watching this holy event. It is free and is open for all devotees. Hundreds of devotees gather for this Aarti and disperse after the event. Few devotees Sit and watch from the boats.
How to reach Kashi Vishwanath Temple?
By Air
The nearest airport is at Babatpur airport which is 22 km from Varanasi. The direct flight is available from major cities.
By Train
The nearest railway station is at Varanasi Junction which is 6 km away. From Varanasi city station, the temple is 2 km away. Varanasi is well connected all parts of India. Daily and Weekly trains are running with high frequency.
By Road
Varanasi is well connected with other cities in nearby. Private and Government buses run to Varanasi on daily basis.
