How To Visit Charming Places With Cheap Holidays To Majorca
For those seeking a perfect destination to spend a memorable holiday far from the hustle-bustle of their neighbourhoods, Majorca would be an ideal choice. Also called 'Mallorca', this is the largest of all Balearic Islands and immensely popular among holidaymakers of the United Kingdom and Germany. It has many attractions that would give you some truly memorable moments during your holiday. Among them are the island's majestic beaches, a trendy capital city, beautiful pine forests, and charming countryside. The island also has mesmerising almond groves that come to life with pink blossoms during the month of February.
The best time to enjoy cheap holidays to Majorca is during the winter months of January and February. If you choose to visit in any of these months, you can grab some excellent deals on room rates of all-inclusive resorts. While this is not the best time to unwind on beaches, you'll find the temperatures quite pleasant to enjoy your favourite outdoor activities. Another good time to visit this island is from March to May, as you can unwind on its fabulous beaches and get accommodation at reduced rates. June to September is Majorca's peak tourist season with a heavy rush of tourists and costlier accommodations.
If you want cheaper accommodations you can also choose to visit between October and December, which is a period between late fall and early winter. When you're in Majorca, you'll get to witness some attractive places. The capital city of Palma de Mallorca itself is a place worth exploring. It is home to fantastic historical attractions, such as Catedral de Mallorca and Castillo de Bellver. These two architectural wonders were built during the 13th century, but the work on the cathedral could be completed only in the 17th century. If you wish to take a break from your sightseeing tour in the capital city and unwind on the sandy beaches, visit Playa de Palma and Playa del Arenal.
Yet another interesting place you can visit during your holidays spent on this Spanish island is the historic village of Valldemossa. It has some magnificent buildings with old stone facades and steep pedestrian streets that create a unique old-world charm. The mountainous region is abundant in lush green vegetation. Upon travelling further down the slopes, you'll find some wonderful coves and beaches. Don't forget to sample the fresh seafood delicacies at the local restaurants of Valldemossa. El Arenal Beach located along the coast is ideal for swimming, surfing, and other water sports.
Arta is a historic town of the island that gives you the chance to witness the almond, fig, and olive orchards. The name 'Arta' is derived from an Arabic word for garden. While exploring this town, you can get to Santuari de Sant Salvador from the parish church of Iglesia de Transfiguracion del Senor using an avenue shaded with cypress trees. You'll also get to explore a system of caves called Cuevas de Arta when you get outside the town. These caves are home to some charming stalagmites and stalactites.
