Although Lanzarote is a small island, it has many tourist attractions worth exploring for its visitors. The island is located about 125 kilometres off the North African coast and 1,000 kilometres from the Iberian Peninsula. It is the fourth largest of all the Canary Islands and was declared a biosphere reserve in 1993 by UNESCO. Some of the most popular ones are the masterpieces of art and culture that Cesar Manrique had created long ago. However, the Spanish island also has several natural wonders that would give you some delightful moments during your time spent in this part of the world.

One of the most popular attractions on the islands that you can explore during your cheap holidays to Lanzarote is the Timanfaya National Park. It is the place where you can witness the 'Montanas del Fuego' or the 'Fire Mountains'. They were responsible for the greatest volcanic eruptions on the island, which occurred during the 18th century. Upon getting to this national park, you'll come across some unique landscapes comprising salt marshes and lava fields. Another unforgettable experience while touring this park would be a visit to the El Diablo Restaurant. Food is cooked in this restaurant by using grills that are heated by the volcano.

Cueva de Los Verdes is yet another attractive site worth visiting during your holidays on this Spanish island. These 'Green Caves' or volcanic hollows were created by the eruption of Mount Corona and are a part of the world's longest lava tunnel. During the invasions of the island by pirates, the locals had used these caves to save themselves from these attacks. Across three levels of this lava tunnel extending to 6 kilometres, you can walk around for about a kilometre. While in the cave you'll also get the opportunity to see its beautifully lit interiors.

You'll come across some enchanting gardens, natural lake, cafe, and auditorium while visiting Jameos Del Agua, a wonderful creation of the Lanzarote-born architect and artist known as Cesar Manrique. Managed by the government of Lanzarote, this is a series of lava caves and is the best example of harmony between art and nature. It was opened to the public after completion of the general structure in 1977. Over the years, new facilities were added to the site. There's an underground cave bar, where you can chill out with your cocktail. During the winter season, the number of hours in the restaurant and bars are reduced.

Playa Blanca is the best place to enjoy a laid-back atmosphere, watching the yachts at the harbour and sipping your favourite drinks in any of its bars. This place has vast stretches of gorgeous white sands with black volcanic rocks. Among them is the main Playa Blanca beach, which has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag status. While on this beach, you can indulge in some thrilling activities and water sports, such as paragliding, jet-skiing, and scuba diving. You can also explore the boutiques nearby. Cesar Manrique House Museum, Jardin de Cactus, and Rancho Texas Park are some of the other attractions you can explore while holidaying in Lanzarote.
