Texas is the second largest state in the US in terms of both area and population. The state has a rich musical history and its cities are a major hub for musical activity. For instance, the city of Austin is dubbed as the Live Music Capital of the World. San Antonio too is known as the Tejano Music Capital of the World.

Trees is a concert venue that is situated in the Deep Ellum District; it was opened in 1990. It gets its name from the support beams that look like trunks. Recently, the venue was renovated and it boasts of an award-winning sound system. It has seen performances from some famous artists such as Nirvana, Snoop Dogg, and Nick Jonas.

2. Jones Hall - Houston, TX
Jones Hall is short for Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts. It is one of the most popular entertainment venues in the area that draws in around 400,000 people each year. It is also home to the Society for the Performing Arts and Houston Symphony Orchestra. The unique design of its ceiling allows it to shrink its capacity from 3000 seats to 1800 seats.

3. Revention Music Center - Houston, TX 
The Revention Music Center was originally called the Aerial Theater until it was renamed in 2015. The theater is part of the Bayou Place, an entertainment complex located in Downtown Houston. With great acoustics and plenty of bars to go around, the Revention Music Center is an ideal concert to attend.  Some renowned artists have done gigs here, including Coldplay, Sting, Twenty One Pilots, and Zedd.

4. Bass Concert Hall - Austin, TX
The Bass Concert Hall is one of the six theaters of The University of Texas Performing Arts Center. It is also the largest of the six theaters, with a capacity of 3000. The Bass Concert Hall is also the flagship theater of the center and also the largest you can find in Austin. The seating is comfortable and the acoustics are great. The staff is friendly and helpful too.

5. Dos Equis Pavilion - Dallas, TX
This is an outdoor amphitheater with a whopping capacity of 20000, so it is a great choice if you do not like a confined environment. There is some amount of reserved seating, and the rest is lawn seating. You can either lie down on the lawn or buy some lawn chairs. There are plenty of concessionaires here that serve food and drinks. The free parking is a real convenience too.
