Three Things That You Should Know As A Professional Video Production Manager
Video production is one of the most flourishing industries of today. Almost everything is in video format irrespective of which social media platform we are opting for. If you are planning for a career in this respect then you need to get proper training in the filed to be able to create productive videos. You need to know how the entire system functions so that you can use your creativity accordingly. There are many institutes that offer training video production. As professionals working on video production, the first thing that you should learn is time management. No matter whichever production house you work for or whether you work independently, the client will always ask you to deliver the edited video in the least possible time.
With experience, you will get to know which work can be completed in a hurry and which work will require time. So while working on the project, make this thing clear to the client. We suggest that you should always keep some extra time in hand. In case, you need 5 days to complete the job, tell the client that you will complete it in 7 days. This way you will have 2 extra days in hand. In case any issue arises, you still have 2 extra days in hand, which means 48 hours. A lot can be done in those hours.
When you are undergoing the training video production you will be taught to use different software’s to edit a video. In addition to this software’s you need to know what other software is there in the market. You need to learn those as well. Because there are many clients who have specific requirements. They will tell you which software to use, the style of editing they are looking for and so on. Just because your training is over and you have become a certified video editor does not mean that your learning is over. You have to constantly go on upgrading your skills and expertise so that you can work on the latest infrastructure.
Always maintain the quality of work you do. In this competitive world, only those video production professionals are going to survive who will offer high quality work all the time. If you compromise with the quality of work, you will lose out on valuable customers. This is a risk that you simply cannot take. Hence don’t lower the quality of work done. Keep in mind that quality of work and the deadline to delver the project is inter-related. So if the client is pressurizing you to submit the work within a short span of time and you know to do that your quality of work will suffer then do the client know in written. Drop a mail to him where you need to clearly explain everything in details to him. In the future, if he raises any question on the quality of work submitted, you can always show the email. It is important to keep everything documented from the beginning.
