The spot of Abu Bakar (RA) is the approximate location in Masjid e Nabvi. In fact, the house was contiguous to the western wall of the Masjid e Nabvi during the time of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The main door of the house was located in the western wall while the small door was installed in the eastern wall of the Masjid e Nabvi which was easily approached into the Masjid. As stated in Bukhari, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Close all those doors which open into the mosque except the door of the house of Abu Bakr (RA).” There is no specific place of the Abu Bakar’s (RA) house but pilgrims perceive the spot by the door. If you get a chance to offer Umrah with umrah packages Dec 2020, so to visit the spot of Abu Bakar (RA) you should find the original door of the House.

Although, the actual dwelling of Abu Bakar was in the Holy sanctuary of Makkah. But he migrated from Makkah to Madinah being a close companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. When the Messenger of Allah proclaimed the Tauheed (Oneness of Allah), the pagan Arab became severe opponents. When they felt the dominance of true faith against idolatry, they plotted to kill Prophet ﷺ. Meanwhile, Allah-Almighty informed Prophet ﷺ through Jibrael (AS) and ordered him to migrate from Makkah to Madina.

Thus, along with his close companion, Abu Bakar (RA) moved towards the cave of Thawr. The preparation of the journey was made at the house of Abu Bakar in Makkah. Hazrat Asama (RA) the daughter of Abu Bakar rendered useful services in this regard. She tied the food on the back of a camel with her own piece of the scarf by tearing when there was nothing found to tie. That’s why she was given the title of Zat ul Nataqeen (having two pieces of the scarf) by the Prophet ﷺ.

When Prophet ﷺ reached Madinah along with Abu Bakar (RA), they dwelled in Masjid e Nabvi after constructing it. Abu Bakar (RA) permanently left Makkah and resided in Madinah in Masjid Nabvi. After the death of Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakar was appointed the first Caliph of Islam and devoted his life for Islam. He died in Madina during 634 CE and he was buried near the Prophet ﷺ.

And during the time of Umar (RA) when Masjid e Nabvi was to extend, so Umar (RA) included the house of Abu Bakar (RA). Yet, the door was installed in the new western wall of the Mosque which was in line with the original door of Abu Bakar’s (RA) house. Consequently, this door was moved westward in line with the original door, when Masjid e Nabvi was extended in a western direction. This was done so to keep the instruction of the Prophet (ﷺ).

The door was again extended while the first Saudi extension. The spot now consists of three doors and the southernmost one (the one closest to the Qiblah wall) is in line with the original door of the house of Abu Bakar (RA). Several people visit the spot of Abu
Bakar’s (RA) house through cheap umrah packages where they just imagine because the Saudi government does not prominent the mark of any spot because of shirk threatening. Numbers of tombs have been destructed thereby. Because any kind of shirk activity is not bearable in Masjid Nabvi and in Makkah.

Allah says about shirk: (interpretation) “How should I fear (the beings) ye associate with Allah when ye fear not to give partners to Allah without any warrant having been given to you? Which of (us) two parties hath more right to security? (tell me) if ye know. (Surah Al-Anam, 81)”.
