The battle of Badar has tremendous significance among the Islamic battles of Destiny. It was the first test of followers against disbelievers as Muslims army consisted of few fighters. Had triumph been uncountable the pagan army, on the other hand, the Muslim army was just at the beginning of their advances, the faith of Islam could have come to an end.

That was unbelievable regarding the outcome of the Battle. As we might read and perceived at that spot by visiting through last-minute umrah deals the depth of anxiety of Prophet ﷺ in his prayer before the beginning of the Battle when he stood up for appealing to his Lord. “O, my Lord! These are Quraysh who have come with all their arrogance and boastfulness, trying to disgrace Thy Apostle. “O, Lord! I ask Thee to disgrace them tomorrow. “O, Lord! If these few Muslims will perish today, Thou shall not be worshipped.”
In this Battle, there were 950 fighters from Quraysh and the Muslim army consisted of 314 fighters. So, the Islamic defense was a combination of three defensive lines:

1. The character of the Messenger, his leadership and his frim determination.

2. The Hashemite’s led by Ali Ibn Abu Talib (RA) who entered this battle comparatively ambiguous and came out with matchless military fame. His military performances became the popular matter of the Arab caravan’s discussions all over the Arabic Peninsula.

3. The hearts of Sahaba were filled with faith and readiness for sacrifice. Many of them observed martyrdom to get, equal to life and forever victory. These Sahabah were the army of Islam, its first line of defense and the thick wall behind which the Prophet ﷺ used to stand who were the attackers and the defenders.

They were ones who rendered their lives to sacrifice for the solidarity of Islam when Prophet ﷺ announced to get martyrdom. They stood in the first line of resistance opening for the army the way through their drives in the line of the enemies.

The battle started when Utbah Ibn Rabi-ah, his son Al Walid and his brother Shaybah (all from the Omayyad) stood in front of the pagan army and asked the Prophet ﷺ to send to them their matches for a double. Hundreds of Sahaba were around him and many of them were expecting to be called upon by the Prophet ﷺ but he ﷺ selected to face from his own family.

The challenge was tough and heavy and only possible to defeat by Ali (RA), Hamza (RA) and Ubaidah Al-Harith (RA). They all belonged to the clan of Prophet Muhamad ﷺ. Thus, Ali attacked Al-Walid and Al-Hamza got to hunt to Utbah then they both assisted Obadiah against his opponent Shaybah. Shaybah had been sent to hell by killing while Ubaidah embraced martyrdom and he was the first martyr of Islam.

After that the general offensive commenced, hundreds of Sahabah fought bravely in the battle and offered sacrifices and pleased their Lord. The marks of Battels are still found and obviously can be recalled by getting umrah packages for December 2020 after proceeding the minor pilgrimage.

And then Prophet ﷺ took a handful of gravel when the battle was extremely heated and threw it at the faces of the pagans saying “May your faces be stained. Allah ﷻ frightened their hearts and overturned their feet. Muslim army killed 70 disbelievers and 70imprisoned.
History has well-kept in its records only fifth of the names out of the 70 pagans loses. Thus, this was the first expedition that laid the foundation of the Islamic State in the Arab land and in no time triumphed the whole Arab without bloodshed.
