Why is the use of statistics importance in a research study?
Statistics refers to the science of collecting, analyzing, and making a reference from data. In research, the statistical methods and analysis are useful to communicate research findings and support hypothesis (Davidian & Louis 2012). It also gives credibility to the research methodology and conclusion. Statistics in research tend to enable the researcher to look at a large set of data and then condense it into meaningful information. Statistics plays a vital role in research as the use of statistics tends to guide the researcher in research for the proper characterization, summarization, interpretation, and presentation of the research results. Statistics is important as it help the researcher understand and describe phenomena in their word and help draw a reliable conclusion about the phenomena (Tomek & Schumacker 2013).

Discuss the value of quantitative and qualitative data in both methods in research
Qualitative data consists of words while quantitative data consists of numbers (Skiadas & Katsirikou 2010). The data in qualitative studies tend to describe the qualities or the characteristics of something. The value of quantitative data is that it indicates repeatable specifics about the process being studied. In qualitative research, it requires flexibility. Thus, it allows the researcher to respond to user data as it emerges (Skiadas & Katsirikou 2010). On the other hand, qualitative data tend to indicate things that are probably good to know. Quantitative data is important because it allows for the comparison of the scale of development. The comparison can inform decision making in various ways.

Differentiate between descriptive statistic and influential statistic in research study
Descriptive statistics is the type of statistical analysis that helps to describe data in some meaningful manner. In research, descriptive statistics usually give the summary of the sample and also the done observation (Kern, 2014). The summaries can either be graphical or quantitative. Inferential statistics is a type of statistics that deals with making a conclusion. It tends to inference about the predictions for the population. It is the procedure of drawing predictions and conclusion regarding the given data subjected to random variations. Descriptive statistics gives a description of the sample while inferential statistics tends to predict and infer about the larger data or population (Kern, 2014). The measures of descriptive statistics that include medium, mode, and mean are numbers. The measures of inferential statistics are not always exact numbers.

Discuss the limits of an investigator triangulation.
Investigator triangulation involves including more than one investigator in the research process (Morrison et al. 2011). A limitation of investigator triangulation is that it can result in misconception. In investigator triangulation, it is wrong to assume that one investigator will corroborate another and is it defensible mostly in qualitative, reflexive inquiry.

Discuss the importance of data triangulation
Data triangulation normally validates the data and research through cross verifying the same information (Pennik & Jonker 2010). The importance of data triangulation is that it strengthens the research and allows the researcher to write a better research paper. The additional sources in data triangulation tend to give more insight into the topic. Because data triangulation provides multiple sources, it tends to provide verification and validity while it is complementing similar data. Data triangulation is essential in research as it helps in getting reliable results; thus, minimizing data errors (Pennik & Jonker 2010). Using data triangulation in research helps to maintain validity and reliability at a high level.
Does competency matters in workplace bullying behaviors
Workplace bullies is an indication of serious lack of emotional and social intelligence (Leonard et al. 2015). Competency tends to matter a lot in workplace bullying behavior. The bullying behavior is an indication of lack of skills of self-management, empathy, and stress management. Workplace bullies normally cause severe damage to people that they are bullying and also to the company for which they work (Leonard et al. 2015). Competence matters in bullying behavior, and it affects bullying various ways. Those people who have less job security can bully the competent people as the threat of job loss increase. The competent people may not view themselves as being competent; thus, they can become victims. The workplace bullying behavior can also affect a person’s perception of his or her competence.
