Training Methodologies Used In The Civil Service Examination Courses
A student’s progress always rests upon his teacher’s contribution. For competitive exams like IAS, WBCS and other state civil service exams, a teacher works harder than the students to help them qualify the exam. One has too keep in mind that such government exams are not just knowledge assessing tests rather they examine the suitability of students to serve the government body. The students therefore require supervision to study for the exam. This training and guidance is provided by the IAS faculties in Kolkata.
The IAS teachers are all brilliant academicians, they devote themselves to continuous research and analysis to train their students. There are numerous institutions where these academicians teach so it is always advisable that the students get enrolled to one such institution to work under the supervision of the faculties. The teachers are all professor holding doctorate degrees, they themselves have reached the UPSC Interview Round/ Personality Test multiple times for which they have expertise in the field.
The areas upon which the teachers focus while training the students are as follows:
The current demand of the Exam which is more of dynamic and analytical based questions being asked
Analytical approach in teaching
Case Studies and contemporary examples shared for better understanding
Emphasis on Mains Answer Writing Practice and feedback given by teachers
Focus on individual student
Doubtful areas in a subject
Regular performance assessment by conducting lot of Mock Tests
The topics which need more supervision according to a student to be revised multiple times
The faculty staffs are extremely cordial and understanding therefore a student need not fear his teacher. The professors develop a friendly relationship with their students while teaching them so that the students feel the urge to attend classes regularly and speak freely with the teachers about the problems they are facing in the field. Special classes are held every week to clear the doubts of the students, the doubt clearing classes are executed according to the preference and convenience of the students.
The faculty members pay individual attention to the students understanding that all students do not have the same capacity to learn and study. The IAS faculties in Kolkata prepare thoroughly researched notes for their students with all the details necessary to study for the exam. They guide a student most aptly underlining the most relevant areas of study so that both their time and energy is saved. The entire focus is on qualitative content rather than quantitative content. The teachers conduct continuous Exams to test their student’s growth and expertise in the field, they prepare question modules based on the exam probability and testing the students with those questionnaires they prepare them thoroughly for the exam.
