Homeschooling is the process of teaching a specific curriculum for a student while at home setting under the supervision of their parents. The primary benefit of homeschooling is the flexibility it provides, allowing students to work more at their own pace.

Every educational system offers great opportunities for children to learn new information and skills, as well as harness their own unique qualities and interests. 1. One-to-One Attention:
It goes without any saying that those overcrowded classes are not at all sufficient to shape your growing child’s knowledge as the teacher cannot always help a student when he or she needs it.

In one-to-one teaching, the teacher always has an idea of what the student knows about the subject and what he doesn’t. Additionally, the teacher also has the freedom to dwell on a particular topic for longer, if the child needs time understanding it.
2. Flexible Timetable:
When a child goes to school, the parents need an early alarm every morning to wake up and get him ready for school in time. It might also often happen that the child misses the breakfast i.e. the important meal of the day.
However, in the case of homeschooling, parents are able to control the pace of the timetable i.e. can change the schedules weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
3. Learning for Knowledge and Confidence Building:
Learning for the school going kid may not be enough for the sake of knowledge as he competes with other children in the class with the aim of good grades to move up to higher classes.
On the contrary, homeschooling has no competition, which encourages the child to learn the subject for the sake of knowledge and has the opportunity to find what he is good at and run with it.

1. It Can Be Expensive:
When you choose to homeschool your child, then one of the parents needs to be there with the child, which means that one of the parents needs to put aside his/her goal and ambitions. However, if you think that second income is not necessary, then this is perhaps not a con for parents like you.
2. Unstructured and Absence of Skilled Teacher:
Understandably, public schools are more structured and have a better-planned curriculum than homeschool. A homeschooling parent has limited resources and requires a lot of planning, effort, and dedication from the parent and child.
Moreover, not necessarily the homeschooling teachers are enough for the child to deliver all the required knowledge needed by the child. In most cases, parents do not have first-hand homeschooling experience, and they are still learning the subjects.
3. Slight Access To Friends And Sports:
You may teach your child to play a few games and sports when you homeschool them. But they may not get a chance to play team sports regularly. Additionally, the child might not have many friends whom they can interact with and enjoy their childhood.

With these pros and cons, I guess the picture of homeschooling might be clear now in your mind. However, homeschooling can be a privilege or pain for you depending on how you manage it. By any chance, you are considering homeschooling your child, then start as soon as possible. Homeschooling them at kindergarten or primary school level can be a considerable act for you both.
And if you don’t want to homeschool your child and it seems a burden to you then you can get him into a school and give him a private home tutor which can also give him one to one attention.
