5 Ways To Make A Health Mayonnaise Sandwich Everyday

Mayonnaise is that white and creamy condiment that you get to see in snacks like burgers, sandwiches, salads, dips et cetera. It is conventionally prepared with egg yolk, oil and vinegar with mustard added to enhance the flavors. Over the past decade or so, this condiment has emerged as a viable alternative to other alternatives like cheese and butter. This is because it can be used in a variety of ways in a number of recipes with mayonnaise. The reason for its popularity is its versatility and taste.

There are so many ways one can use mayonnaise, because of which it is now considered an “all-purpose condiment”. The easiest way to use it would be in a mayonnaise sandwich: It makes for a fast snack, a breakfast or even at tea. The mayonnaise gives the sandwich a tangy taste, in addition to giving the sandwich creamy texture. One only has to chop/ shred a few vegetables, spread the mayo and add seasonings like oregano. The entire process should not take more than 15 minutes to complete, making it the perfect breakfast for working parents. For chicken sandwiches with mayonnaise, the chicken must only be mixed with the mayonnaise.

Most mayonnaise sandwiches follow the same recipe, with a few variations depending upon the main ingredients.

Cabbage and Carrot sandwich: All this recipe requires is carrot and cabbage in the mayo mixture and you are good to go.
Mayonnaise cheese sandwiches: One only has to place a slice of their favorite cheese on the mayonnaise mix or add some softened cheese into the mixture.
Open sandwich: Spread the mayo mixture on the toast and serve it as an open sandwich.
Cabbage mayonnaise sandwich: This more like the first recipe, the only difference being that one only has to add cabbage to the mayonnaise mix.
Grilled mayonnaise sandwich: An even tastier option is to grill the toast after spreading it with mayonnaise or butter. The mayonnaise gives the toast a tangy flavor.

Note that the sandwich tastes best as soon as it is prepared, since the salt in the mayonnaise mix can cause the vegetables used in the sandwich to lose moisture, making it dry.
