A counselor should have knowledge about the counseling theories as well as be conversant with the human development theories. The knowledge should equip the counselor with penitential to explain career related thoughts and behaviors. He should be in a position to understand student. A counselor should understand that many career theories, give life span career perspective mind that determines how the career is developed in a child. Understanding career theories enable the career educators to have experience in selecting most appropriate theories fitting the population they serve. The theoretical perspective enables the educators to develop intentional perspective and have the anticipation urge to face the expected results. The career theories enable the career educator to develop skills by selecting the assessment that fits the students. The sources of individual learning basic counseling skills include the group counseling, the consultations, collaborations and other skills. The basic skills relevant to career counseling include assessments and research (Evans, & Larrabee, 2002).

The counselors should seek to understand people to have the ability to care for individuals and treat people with the organization equally. The career counselors should learn the status of each perfectly. The career counselors should ensure that all individual receive standardized services. The services and the resources given to the individuals should indicate high levels of uniformity. Counselors should take a high level of encouraging the disabled in the society (Harrington, & Long, 2013). The counselor should identify special services and resources for the disabled for them to acquire equal opportunity with the others. The counselors should apply the collection of data and information that leads to self-dealing with individual especially those without places from the job they should acquire ma place to work in.

The counselors should conduct the have general knowledge for the purpose of making decisions. Counselors require different forms of knowledge for them to make the best way in advising others. The knowledge should assist the counselor in identifying the early childhood career opportunity in different individuals. The knowledge of assessments in instruments should enable counselor also has the capability of determining the methods that shall enable him collect and presents the correct data. The third knowledge important to then counselor includes the knowledge to administer and oversee the school based assessments. The knowledge assists the career counselor with the data leadership skills. The counselor should understand the administration requirements. The counselor should also understand the policies and the procedures for to run different operations.

The important information should be disseminated to the individuals for facilitating in the most relevant way.
