If you have ever heard about the acupuncture therapy then you will be dead scared to indulge into the process as it needs pricking of fine needles, not just one but a couple of them. If you ever were afraid to take injection during your childhood days, then it might be a nightmare for you. However, the therapy has a reputation in its bag and have been helping a number of patients to fight back some of the acute and chronic ailments. Even in the present age, TCM acupuncture is used widely by therapists to resolve health related issues without prescribing any medication.

The Acupuncture is a part of TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine which was instituted thousands of years back in Asia for addressing health issues faced by the population. The first impression of the process dates back to 2000 BC which is much older than the present western medication. Understanding the methodology of TCM is quite complicated as a number of things constitute together to form what it is. Contrary to the western medicine which focuses on curing a specific ailment, the Chinese therapies centres on holistic healing procedure. The ultimate truth accepted by all the therapist practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine is that everything present in the world is interconnected and depends widely upon each other. It means only be maintaining a balance between everything will give out good health. If something goes wrong in a part of a body all other organs will be hampered and the normal flow of work will be restricted. All organs give out a specific energy and a person falls sick only when there is a disruption in the energy flow. All in all, the energy imparted by organs keep our body fit and in a moving state. It is stated here that ‘Qi’ is the prime index which helps in the energy flow following different pathways. A human body has a number of meridians and the energy flows through these meridians. When there is any restriction in the flow of Qi a person gets ill and needs to be treated effectively.

TCM acupuncture is just a part of a larger group and not a whole of it. A trained practitioner will undertake deep consultation with the patient and depending on his illness undertake the process. There are a number of pressure points present in a human body and the process centres around these points while in turn help in rejuvenation.
