Insulating rubber mats are seen in factories and industries where high voltage equipment are used. These mats protect the workers from electrical shocks and increase their productivity. These mats are usually placed in areas where high voltage equipment such as high voltage wires, plant room, switchboards etc. These mats provide protection against contact with the earth. Any direct contact will be isolated by these mats thereby the circuit remains incomplete. Let us now look at the advantages we get to installing insulating rubber mats.

Advantages Insulating Rubber Mats

Safety: Safety is the prime reason these mats should be purchased. Insulated gloves and boots alone might not give you the full protection. This is where insulating rubber mats come into play. These mats also have more insulating properties than boots or gloves.

Installation: Insulating rubber mats are very easy to install and can be used in small workshops to large-scale factories. Transportation of these mats are also easy and minimum effort is only needed for it.

Customization: These mats can come in different sizes and thickness. It can be adapted to different needs in the workplace. Various sizes and thickness are based on the voltage of different areas in the factories. Not every area of the factories will be having the same thickness of the mat. These mats can also be customized and cut into the requested measurement.

Not just an insulator: Even though the prime purpose of insulating mats is to protect from electric shocks, it is not just for that. These mats are capable of withstanding any wear and tear which occurs in factories. Good insulating mats are durable and last for around five years. They are tested at temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to 70 degrees Celsius. They are temperature resistant because these mats are used globally and are used in different geographical locations such as Russia, Africa, Saudi Arabia etc. One of the other advantages of these mats is they are fire resistant and do not burn. This is because they have the properties of dielectric insulation. Other features these mats have being anti-skid, grease-free etc. These mats are also tested to be puncture resistance as these may come under contact with sharp tools such as screwdrivers and other mechanical pointy tools.

As per standards: These mats are tested and made as per the standards and they follow the highest safety measures. These mats go through a lot of tests and compliance such as ROHS, REACH, Zero Halogen, IEV61111 etc. REACH and ROHS makes sure that the mats do not contain any harmful chemicals namely lead, arsenic which can be toxic to the environment. Zero Halogen ensures that the mats do not emit any harmful halogens during a fire such as fluorine, bromine, chlorine, iodine etc.

These mats can be used in enclosed spaces such as underground as well. Insulating rubber mats should be a mandatory first priority purchase for every factory which runs on high voltage equipment. These mats can be bought offline store as well as online and should only be bought from a reputed brand as quality is the top preference to keep in mind while purchasing these mats. These mats meet the highest safety standards and ensure safety to the workers.
