How Design Thinking Helps Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship is full of risks, decision-making, problem solving, leadership and maintaining relationship with every single entity associated with the organisation. Be it the employees, customers, vendors or investors. Every decision made by the entrepreneur is going to affect all the aspects of the organization. Therefore, it is pretty important that the entrepreneur is stable and smart to take risks, bear the loss, earn and distribute the profits.

There are many such tools, techniques and strategies what entrepreneurs follow to succeed in their lives.
One such trending and successful technique is Design Thinking. So what is Design Thinking? How does it help entrepreneurs? How is it used? All your questions will be answered here.

As the name suggests, Design Thinking. People usually assume it is about designing and aesthetics. Design Thinking is not restricted just for the designers. Big companies like Apple, Starbucks, Nike, etc. are great examples of successful design-driven business. Design Thinking helps you think innovatively and solve problems quicker, efficiently and strategically. Be it a MNC or Home Based Business Design Thinking works amazingly.

Design thinking is a combination of elements which are the 5 stages of Design Thinking. Below mentioned are the stages of Design Thinking.

1. Empathise

The first stage is to understand the goal or the problem. It is all about diving deep into the problem you are trying to solve. After consulting the experts and associates, one gathers enough information which will help for the next stage.

2. Define

This is the second stage where you define the problem with the help of the data collected in the first stage. The define stage helps you gather great ideas and strategies.

3. Ideate

The third stage Ideate, as the name suggest Ideate. At the second stage itself you start generating ideas and now you go aggressive in generating ideas to solve your problems. You think out of the box. Be it problem solving or choosing the price for your product. This is the stage where you generate ideas.

4. Prototype

This is an experimental stage. Each solution is implemented to the problems raised in the previous 3 stages. They are investigated, examined, analysed to know which works best. By the end of the stage 4 you will get one best solution.

5. Test

Time to execute. Time to test. At this stage one tests the solution achieved from stage 4 of Prototype. During this stage all the alterations, redefining, refinements were done in order to get to the problem. This is the stage where you will keep improvising.

Entrepreneurship is never an easy life. Innovation, creation, problem solving can be made easier with design thinking. It has been used and experimented by many leading and successful businessmen and personalities. Be it a big or small problem, with design thinking everything is made easier and gives you a deeper dive about the concern or the goal.
In this world of start-ups, innovation and creativity is demanded and design thinking is one of the tools to be innovative. Business Ideas For Start-ups can be achieved with the help of design thinking. Employees also should be trained to use design thinking for the betterment of the organisation.
