Popularly known as the 'Island of Spice' owing to the large-scale production of mace and nutmeg crops, Grenada is a beautiful island country in the south-eastern Caribbean Sea. Vast expanses of unspoilt natural landscapes spread across the archipelago appeals particularly to the adventure enthusiasts, beach lovers, and honeymooners. You can enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the islands, indulge in trekking adventures, or go island-hopping to discover some interesting places and know more about the local culture:

St George's: The capital city of Grenada, St George's is characterised by streets lined with buildings made of brick and stone, having red-tiled roofs.
You'd have plenty of attractions to explore during your cheap Grenada holidays in the city, such as Fort George, Grenada National Museum, and the Sendall Tunnel. St George's is extremely popular with yachting enthusiasts, who dock their yachts in the harbour of Carenage.

Grand Etang National Park and Forest Reserve: This fascinating park is home to some fabulous species of rainforest trees, plants, birds, and animals. You'd get to witness beautiful sceneries and enjoy rewarding hikes with a visit to this national park and forest reserve. The hiking trails in the park range from the simple ones like the Morne LaBaye trail to the more challenging Concord Falls trail.

Grand Anse Beach: This is among the most beautiful and popular beaches of the Caribbean, with clear turquoise waters, golden sands, and gentle surf. Your holidays in Grenada would be incomplete without a visit to this marvellous beach. While exploring this beach, you'd also come across the Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market and hawkers selling some attractive souvenirs.

Annandale Falls: Upon visiting the mountains situated north of St George's, you'd come across this 10-metre waterfall. You can enjoy swimming at its base or watch the enthusiastic divers plunging into the water after diving from the top. Visitors reach these beautiful waterfalls by taking the trail leading to the falls beginning at the Annandale Falls Centre.

Underwater Sculpture Park: A short drive to the north of St George's during your all inclusive Grenada holidays would take you to Moliniere Bay, where this amazing submerged gallery awaits you. The Underwater Sculpture Park was created by Jason de Caires Taylor, a British sculptor, and features life-size sculptures. Divers, snorkellers and tourists on glass bottom boats often enjoy the views of the exhibits located below sea level.

Fort Frederick: This fort offers some fabulous views of St George's and has an interesting history. Work on Fort Frederick was started by the French in the year 1779 and was completed by the British in 1791. The Grenadian military occupied it, after being completely abandoned in the mid-nineteenth century.

Morne Rouge Bay: If you wish to unwind on a quieter beach while in Grenada, this vast stretch of white sands would be an ideal spot. This beach is safe for swimming and the restaurants located close to it offer some delicious varieties of snacks. You’d find shady areas to relax under the lush green trees nearby.
