Why Your Child Needs A Playschool Where Multiple Intelligences Are Considered
Howard Gardner’s research pointed people have seven areas where their skills can be identified; Gardner called these skills intelligences. In response to Alfred Binet’s research that led to the intelligence quotient, Gardner proposes that there are more measures of intelligence other than verbal and math. The Multiple Intelligences theory (MI theory) facilitates kids play school in Rohini and parents to develop a balanced program with activities to build a child’s dominant intelligence areas.
Although, Gardner believes that every child possesses some degree of all intelligences, knowing this early on, will help her/him to develop each of these areas. Each of the intelligences is as important as the other. The intelligences are as following:
A child with this intelligence uses the body to interact, express, solve problems, and understand the world around. Much like dancers, athletes, and engineers use their bodies, so does a child with bodily-kinaesthetic intelligence. If you find that your child learns most by spending time outdoors, by creating things, easily participates in physical activities, and shows coordination in fine-motor skills, then it is likely that your child is bodily-kinaesthetically intelligent. Such children will thrive in a nursery school in Rohini where the emphasis is upon these skills.
2. Interpersonal & Intrapersonal
Intrapersonal children have the ability to be on their own, build their knowledge, and spend time in observing. Such children may have limited social interactions but the ones that they participate in are deep and authentic. They strengths lie in reflection, thinking, a sense of independence and self-direction, and introspection. Children with interpersonal skills perceive and respond well to feelings, needs, and moods of others. Other kids may come to them for talking or playing and these children may find themselves comfortable in groups. They may also grow up to be street-smart. Such children learn best in places where opportunities for reflection and group activities are available.
Children with linguistic intelligence are drawn toward words, enjoy reading, and can develop a high vocabulary at an early age. Does your child spend a considerable amount of time in writing or reading? Storytellers, writers, and politicians share this intelligence. Because these children use words to communicate their emotions, feelings, observations, and ideas, they need environments where this intelligence is promoted. Imagine this child forced to learn through games and activities that do not use words?
Logical-mathematical intelligence helps in understanding numbers, reasoning, and logical thinking. Children with this developed intelligence are comfortable with activities requiring logic, measurements, classification, and quantification. For these children, learning happens best by participating in activities that use the left-brain, which is linked with logic and reasoning.
Musical intelligence enables a child to respond to music naturally. It is as if the child is able to detect off-keys, quickly learn to play musical instruments, and remembers information if music has been used to teach it. Pre nursery schools in Rohini make use of singing and music activities to teach that works best with children with musical intelligence.
6. Naturalist Intelligence
Naturalist intelligence shows in an inclination towards plants, animals, and spending time in nature. These children would learn best when exposed to activities that get them engaged in nature, exploring flora and fauna, visiting zoos, and aquariums, and watching programs on the same. It is likely that these children have acute observational skills, have a soft nature, and are passionate about conservation.
7. Spatial Intelligence
Children with spatial intelligence engage in the visual-spatial work that helps them develop images in their minds. They are sensitive to colours, puzzles, drawing, and take interest in visual arts. These children will enjoy illustrations, maps, and three-dimensional illustrations.
Research continues in multiple intelligences but finding the right child development program and school will give your child the advantage s/he needs.
