Class F fires require a specialized wet chemical extinguisher because they are fueled by oils and fats; these usually happen in restaurant kitchen settings, and standard extinguishers can cause dangerous splashing of hot oil. Wet Chemical Extinguishers
Class F, or grease, fires burn at very high temperatures and don’t respond to most types of fire extinguisher. Wet chemical fire extinguishers are specially designed to deal with these kinds of fire, and are an important addition to any kitchen, whether at home or in a business.
Metal Powder Extinguishers
Laboratories and businesses that deal in aluminum powder may have to deal with danger from igniting metal flakes and dust. These fires can be very difficult to put out without spreading them further. Choose a special metal powder fire extinguisher for any location where metal fires might be a hazard.
Hydrospray Fire Extinguishers
These fire extinguishers combine the convenience of water with the fire-fighting ability of chemical additives. They provide more fire-fighting ability than water, at a lower weight.
