Juliana and her husband Peter are moving out of Kelowna. They have been staying in their own Kelowna real estate property since they got together five years ago. Juliana has been working as a high school teacher, teaching geography to her students. Peter is an art school graduate who is trying hard to establish himself. He left his job as a designer in an ad agency two years back as he wanted to paint and establish himself as an artist. He paints for long hours every day while Juliana is away to school. Few of Peter's friends and batch mates are living and working in New York. New York has ample opportunities for young artists and hence after much consideration, they took the decision of moving there. Juliana had applied for and got a teaching job there. One of her aunts lives there too.
They also had to take a call on their Kelowna real estate; whether to sell it off or keep it. Since the family finances were under pressure, they had to sell off the property before moving out. They were in a hurry and knew they cannot afford to wait for long to get the best price for their property.

This also helped Ken and his children to bond better, grow together professionally and even know each other better.
What Peter found interesting is Ken's enthusiasm in outdoor activities like boating, ice hockey, trail riding, skiing, snowmobiling etc. Not just that he is also an active community worker who involves himself in different community activities all round the year.
