Bangalore, the IT city, is the capital of the Karnataka state situated in the southern part of India. This cosmopolitan city exhibits diverse culture and tradition. The city is also known by the 'Garden City' as the city is home to lot of gardens and parks. The city is comfortable to live in and the people are very hospitable to deal with too. This city is often called the 'The Pensioner's Paradise'. The nice climate throughout the year makes many investors in India and abroad to start up several companies especially in the field of Information Technology. Bangalore, officially called Bengaluru, is a fast growing industrial city in Asia. The history shows the name Bengaluru is derived from benda-kaal-uru which means the place of boiled beans. The legend behind the name is that the tired and hungry king Veera Bhallala II lost his way in a forest and was offered boiled beans by a poor old lady. Happy and satisfied by the hospitality of the lady, he called the place the name benda-kaal-uru and later became Bengaluru. The city was under different rulers and the British took over the city from Krishnaraja Wodeyar II. Wodeyars contributed much to the development of the city of Bangalore like gardens and parks but the modern facilities like railway, post office and other departments were built during the British rule. Bangalore Packages are the best option to enjoy the main attractions in Bangalore which include Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, Bangalore Palace, The palace of Tippu Sultan and Vidhan Soudha and many other gardens and parks. Lal Bagh is a famous botanical garden established under the rule of Tipu Sultan. This garden holds a huge collection of tropical plants and trees with abundant greenery. Flower shows are organized in Lal Bagh annually which attracts tourist as well as students from different cities. Cubbon Park is a beautiful place in the heart of the city of Bangalore which has an area of 300 acres, consists of numerous varieties of flora. Cubbon Park is named after Sir Mark Cubbon, a commissioner of British India. The climate of Bangalore is very pleasant and even in the summer the maximum temperature is around 35 degree Celsius. The winter is best time to visit the city as the temperature never drops below 10 degrees. Though it can be visited throughout the year but from September to February is the ideal time to travel around the city. As the city has diverse culture and tradition, there are a lot of restaurants with a variety of foods can be found in the main city. Bangalore is situated in the state of Karnataka and is known by various sobriquets such as Garden City, Pensioners Paradise and Silicon Valley of India. This city is a tourists' delight and is dotted by various attractions such as palaces, gardens, churches, temples, museums and historical monuments. Bangalore is also a much sought after destination among tourists for its many shopping avenues and clubbing scene in the city. The city with its many luxury malls and street shopping options is a favourite among shopaholics of all tastes and is is sure to entice all. Bangalore has a very happening club scene with its many pubs and clubs that play hosts to world renowned DJs. These cubs are also a favourite haunt among the young crowd of the city. Apart from the pub culture in the city, it is also a happening place for those interested in the more refined arts of theatre, classical music, dance and others. Bangalore is also home to a large number of parks that are included in numerous Bangalore Packages, of which the most famous are Lalbagh and Cubbon Park. Apart from these above mentioned parks, other places of interest in the city include the Tipu Sultan Summer Palace, Bangalore Palace and Mayo Hall. These are the most prominent among all of Bangalore's historical structures. Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace is a two storied wooden structure ornate with carved pillars, arches and with many scenic balconies that was built in 1791. Bangalore Palace another attraction in the city of Bangalore is believed to have been inspired by the Windsor Castle and is said to have been built in the Tudor style by the Wodeyar King at an exorbitant cost of Rs 1 million back in 1880. While Bangalore Museum and Vishweshwaraiah Museum are also two prominent features of Bangalore Packages that are visited by families with young children with a curious bent of mind, Iskcon Temple, Bull Temple, St Mary's Basilica, St Patrick's Church and the Masjid-e-Khadria are some of the popular places of worship here in Bangalore. Two other prominent landmarks here are the St Mark's Cathedral and the ISKCON Temple which are part of many religious Bangalore Packages. St. Mark's Cathedral was founded in 1808 and consecrated by the Bishop of Calcutta. The ISKCON Temple popular for its uniquely modern and traditional architecture and practices, is a favoured tourist destination that is visited not just as a place of worship but also as a tourist attraction. The Vidhana Soudha is built out of dressed Bangalore granite and houses the Legislative Chambers of the state government. Agra is an ancient city set by the banks of the river Yamuna in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The city of Agra is most famous for its numerous Mughal monuments that dot its landscape. Among the many interesting sightseeing options in the city, the most famous one is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Taj Mahal. Voted as one among the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal is a beautiful mausoleum made entirely out of white marble that was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal and is today a symbol of eternal love. Tourists from all over the world flock to see this beautiful monument whose beauty is enhanced by blooming gardens with flowers of various hues, shapes and sizes and a canopy of shady trees through which flow aesthetically designed waterways culminating in magnificent fountains. The Taj is said to have been built Incorporating architectural designs from Turkish, Persian and Indian styles and is believed to have taken over 20 years and thousands of artisans, craftsmen and other skilled labourers for it to be completed. Although the white domed structure is the main and most widely recognized of the Taj's s features, the many ornate minars are also important features of the Taj. Agra is home to a variety of other interesting places to visit apart from the Taj. These marvelous monuments are best enjoyed by availing the many Agra Packages that take tourists on a detailed tour to all these monuments. Most of the Agra Packages also include a guided tour with guides who are proficient in various Indian and foreign languages. Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort are the next most popular of all the tourist destinations that feature prominently in the numerous Agra Packages. Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb that is also referred to as 'Baby Taj' owing to the similarity to Taj Mahal, is another attraction included in the Agra Packages. Other attractions part of Agra Packages are the Sikandra, Sur Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, Jama Masjid, Diwan-i-Am and Buland Darwaza. Agra is famous for the Taj Mahal and millions of tourists from all over the world come here every year to appreciate this architectural wonder. Located on the banks of the River Yamuna, Agra is probably the most visited city in India. A visit to India is incomplete without a visit to this historical city situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Agra has always been a bustling city right from the ancient times. Agra is mentioned in the Mahabharata as the forest of Agraban close to Mathura. History books say that it was Badal Singh who founded Agra in 1475. Sikandar Lodhi captured Agra and made it his capital city, later only to be defeated by Babur. Agra then became the seat of the great Mughal rulers for many years, and there are a number of historical monuments in and around Agra, dating back to the 16th and 17th century built in the contemporary Mughal style. The Mughal's loved symmetry and all their architecture has been converted into beautiful monuments such as Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and Sikandra. Agra was at its Zenith during the time in power of Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. Akbar made it the center of art, culture, commerce and learning and he laid the foundation of Agra which was known as Akbarabad, then. A lot of hotels and tour operators offer special Agra packages to the visitors who come to this city. An Agra package would include a day itinerary, followed by the majority of tourists who come in to Agra. This day trip would include a mandatory visit to the Taj Mahal, followed by one to Agra Fort, Sikandra and then on to Fatehpur Sikri, on the outskirts of the city. Taj Mahal was built as a mark of remembrance for Shah Jahan's beautiful queen, Mumtaz Mahal; he spent 22 years to erect this marble marvel. Agra Fort is where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by Aurangazeb while Sikandra is where Emperor Akbar was laid to rest. Agra has one of the largest leather industry is India. The small alley ways of Agra's market is lined with numerous shops dealing with leather products ranging from footwear, bags and jackets. The other important item to shop for in Agra is the artefacts made of marble. Also to take back is the souvenir of the city's premier icon, the Taj Mahal. Miniature models made of marble can be bought all over Agra's markets. Do not forget to buy the famous Agra Petha, a sweet made with sugar and ash gourd.
