Advantages of Composite Fillings: The major advantage of composite fillings is aesthetics. The dentist blends shades of composite in order to create the color which is identical to your tooth. Therefore, the filling is hardly noticeable. Additionally, the bond of the composite is very strong, which prevents the tooth breaking and also preserves it during temperature changes.
Disadvantages of Composites: After the filling is done, you may experience some postoperative sensitivity though this is applicable to most treatments. There's possibility of stains on the composite filling which are caused by agents which stain are natural teeth. Stained restorations can be unsightly. Dublin dentists can put a plastic covering over the filling, which prevents staining at an additional cost.
