Movie Review Of "the Unknown"    By: Anthony Pitt
If you ever have woken up with a real good hangover and wondered who you were, you probably can empathize with Dr. Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) of the Unknown. While your memory loss is temporary from overindulging the night before, the memory loss that Harris succumbs to is bit more enduring; his blow to the brain is the result of his taxi cab careening off a road in Berlin and going into a river. This is not exactly a stellar beginning for a conference that Dr. Harris and his wife Elizabeth (January Jones), are planning to attend. When Harris arrives at his hotel with his wife he realizes that he has forgotten his briefcase at the airport and in a state of panic he jumps into a taxi, leaving his wife at check-in, and directs the cabbie, Gina, (Diane Kruger), to head back. Bad move. On the way back to the airport there is a pile up and Harris and Gina end up in the river. Gina manages to pull Harris from the vehicle and save his life, but the blow to his head has "Doctor who am I" questioning his identity. After four days in a coma, Harris comes to and decides that he had better get back to the conference to let his wife know that he is alright, but he finds her with another man (Aidan Quinn) who claims he is Doctor Harris and she doesn't know who he is. Confused yet? There is more. While Doctor Harris#1 tries to solve the mystery of his identity, some shadowy assassins try to kill him. This sounds like one of my sales conferences at Doral Country Club. I can't give you any more information without giving away the plot, but the movie is a fun ride with plenty of action, and some highly unlikely scenarios. For some reason, Neeson has taken to movies where he romps around Europe with people trying to kill him. Oh well, just another conference. My rating: Three out of five conferences.(read entire article)(posted on: 2020-06-19)
