As I gaze out my studio window, the river looks like a mirror and images of the shoreline seem painted on the water. All the leaves have fallen to the ground to create a blanket of colors in orange, rust, and golden tones. Fall is here in the northern regions of Wisconsin. Knowing that our grandchildren will soon be visiting, I started thinking of ways to extend the beauty of fall. Last night our dog started whining. It was after midnight, so I was not pleased when her purpose to be outside consisted of running around the yard looking for feathery friends. Our dog, Josey, is a bird dog. She also likes listening and looking for deer, frogs, and chipmunks - animals that she can sniff-out.
