What Is Proxy Server! Uses And Purpose Of Using Private Proxy Server

A proxy server is simply a server that receives requests from clients (most of the time we're talking about HTTP proxies and web browsers are the clients), and then forwards them on to the destination (and acts as a proxy between the client and destination).

There are many benefits to a proxy server, the least of which is the privacy benefit people above talked about. Most proxies have a caching feature so that when someone views a website, that page gets put in a cache on the proxy server and when someone else goes to get that page, the proxy server pulls from its cache instead of making the request to the real server (speeds up page load times). A proxy server can also filter web requests, by only allowing requests to certain websites or alternatively blocking requests to certain websites.

Using a proxy server is completely legal. to use one, you just need to first find a proxy server you can use, then configure your web browser to use that proxy server.

A proxy server is an alternate server to the main server to help with loads put onto a server by internet traffic, kinda like a bypass for a road they both take you to the same place but by a different route

You can also use proxy servers to mask your IP address this can allow you access to sites that are otherwise blocked but can land you in serious trouble.

Why Use a Proxy Server?

To hide your IP address

Hiding your IP address is very beneficial especially in protecting your privacy from prying eyes that are lurking all over the internet.

To Access Unblock Websites

Your IP address may also point to several pieces of vital information about you including your location, ISP, and the type of connection you’re using to get online. Websites need your IP address for their traffic record, and also to determine whether your current location is permitted to access their website or not.

But, when using a proxy server, you do not directly access a website, and instead the connection request is sent to a separate server so the proxy server will now be the one to request access to the webmaster. The website will then grant that access to your “proxy”, and then to you.

To maximize web browsing experiences

We all want to experience seamless web accesses and one way of achieving such is by using a proxy server. There are so many geo-restrictions going on the internet these days which is why it makes perfect sense to use a reliable anonymizing tool or service so that you can have unrestricted internet habits.

Is it safe to use the free proxy server?

A proxy server that passes requests and replies unmodified is usually called a gateway or sometimes tunneling proxy.

An anonymous proxy server (sometimes called a web proxy) generally attempts to anonymize web surfing. There are different varieties of anonymizers. One of the more common variations is the open proxy. Because they are typically difficult to track, open proxies are especially useful to those seeking online anonymity, from political dissidents to computer criminals.

Access control: Some proxy servers implement a logon requirement. In large organizations, authorized users must log on to gain access to the web. The organization can thereby track usage to individuals.

In using a proxy server (for example, anonymizing HTTP proxy), all data sent to the service being used (for example, HTTP server in a website) must pass through the proxy server before being sent to the service, mostly in unencrypted form. It is therefore a feasible risk that a malicious proxy server may record everything sent: including unencrypted logins and passwords.

By chaining proxies which do not reveal data about the original requester, it is possible to obfuscate activities from the eyes of the user's destination. However, more traces will be left on the intermediate hops, which could be used or offered up to trace the user's activities. If the policies and administrators of these other proxies are unknown, the user may fall victim to a false sense of security just because those details are out of sight and mind.

The bottom line of this is to be wary when using anonymising proxy servers, and only use proxy servers of known integrity (e.g., the owner is known and trusted, has a clear privacy policy, etc.), and never use proxy servers of unknown integrity. If there is no choice but to use unknown proxy servers, do not pass any private information (unless it is over an encrypted connection) through the proxy.

In what is more of an inconvenience than a risk, proxy users may find themselves being blocked from certain Web sites, as numerous forums and Web sites block IP addresses from proxies known to have spammed or trolled the site.

Conclusion: This is all about proxies and how it works. I suggest to always use private proxies or dedicated proxies rather than free proxies. I suggest you buy proxies from trusted providers like Microleaves.com. It provides 3 days money back guarantee with 24/7 Support.
