Electrical training courses could help Lovell development
By Expert Author: Matt MorganWorkers who have taken a plumber or electrician training course could find that their services are needed to complete a new housing development in Scotland.
It was revealed today (February 2nd) by housebuilding firm Lovell that work has begun on a new £22 million scheme, which will deliver some 195 new homes across three sites in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde.
The project is a part of a four-year framework agreed with social landlord River Clyde Homes and Lovell's regional director Alan Taylor expressed his delight at having the chance to work so closely with the firm.
"We'll be working closely with the housing association and the local community throughout the construction of the new housing," he said.
Top quality workers could be needed to complete the fit-out process of the scheme once the houses are built - expected in May 2012 - which could offer employment opportunities to those with approved electrical or plumbing qualifications. Electrical courses
