Coorg or Kodagu is a breathtakingly beautiful and verdant hill station in the South Indian state of Karnataka. Often referred as the Scotland of India, Coorg Tourism is famous worldwide for its picturesque landscape, high mountains, gushing waterfalls and verdant coffee plantations. The cuisine of Coorg comprises of a heady mix of coconut and spices such as curry leaves, ginger, chilies, pepper and cardamom. Meat preparations, especially those with pork dominate the platter in a typical Coorg meal. Akki Roti (Rice chapatis), a huge variety of Pattus (a steamed dish), Pulvas, preparations of pork, dried fish, Baimbale Curry (a preparation of Bamboo Shoots), Kumm Curry (a preparation of wild mushrooms) and Chekke curry (made using unripe jackfruit) are popular local favorite recipes. One can also find unique pickles of pork, fish, mushrooms, bitter orange and tender bamboo.
A number of restaurants also serve many vegetarian dishes along with typical Indian, Chinese, Continental and Tibetan cuisines as well as popular South-Indian cuisine consisting of dishes like dosa, vada, idli, sambhar and rasam.

Serving scrumptious pork with bamboo shoot and rice dumplings, this is easily rated as one of the best restaurants in town.
