I've written this article after struggling a lot to rank up my website on search engines. I have read all kinds of blog from top authors in this market including Brian Dean, Neil Patel and more, but none of them includes all major factors in a single article. You can find all the major SEO factors that you need to take seriously.

In this article I am writing all the search engine factors and will explain about how much important they are.

Most Important Factors to Consider for Search Engine Marketing

As you already know that there are many search engines, but more than 80% users uses Google to find website or web pages. According to Google they consider more than 200 factors in their algorithm to decide rank for a website. It seems like a lot, but it's not if you split them in categories.

First I am going to list down the categories and then I will explain each one of them.

Here's the categories

1. On-Page SEO

2. Link Building

3. Domain Authority

4. Service Quality

These four factors covers most of the SEO. Working on these will definitely lead your website to rank higher.

1.On-Page SEO

On Page SEO is all about optimizing your content and code for search engines. Let's suppose you have a website that looks, feels and works great, nice work that's all it is. I mean if you haven't optimized it for search engines then how search engines will understand it.

You need to optimize it for search engines in order to qualify your website for better page ranking.

So how can you optimize it?

Here's the most factors to be considered while on-page optimization.

1.1. Use target keywords in the title tag, meta description tag, header tag and other body tags.

1.2. Link your internal pages

1.3. Include outbound links in your website

1.5 Use Keywords in the image name and alt attribute

2. Link Building

Link building means how many websites or web pages includes your website link. It' nothing but gaining trust by other websites or estimating how much popular your website is. Many factors need to be considered while you build backlinks.

Keep following details on mind while you work on building the backlinks

2.1. Make sure the backlinks are not with spam or low reputation websites

2.2. Backlinks should be related to your business domain. Let's say you have backlinks with the Smart Phone company, but your website is about the furniture, This is not very good for the SEO.

2.3. Backlinks with trusted and popular websites values more.

2.4 Try to increase the number of backlinks. There's no limit, it all depends on how many your competitors have and what their backlinks quality. Let's say your competitors have 5 backlinks with very popular website and your website have 10 backlinks with low quality websites then, your competitors backlinks will score more than yours.

3. Domain Authority

Search engines mostly Google considers Domain authority as a factor for ranking the website. Domain authority is nothing but the popularity and authenticity of your website domain, which is counted based on several factors. One of the major factor I've already mentioned is Link Building. Link Building is the main factor of Domain authority.

Here's the list of factors that needs to be considered for increasing the Domain Authority.

3.1. Build the links with other trusted and popular websites as much as you can.

3.2. Make your domain Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

3.3. It's also depends on how much old is your domain.

3.4. Domain name should be relevant to your business category.

4. Service Quality

It's the most fundamental way of increasing your rank. Pay attention to how users are interacting with your website, how much time they are spending on your website. If users are just opening your first page and then, closes the website. It means your website is not good for users and if it is not good for users then, why would they show your website on the results?

1. Make your website fast to load on Desktop, Tablets and Mobiles

2. Make your website user engaging
