All New Chromebooks Can Now Run Android Apps

Out of the blue, Google had announced something interesting regarding the Chromebooks last year. Here is what it is with its latest update...
If you are a little lagging behind on technology, here’s a small tip as to what a Chromebook is.
We normally see Laptops or Notebooks that run on the Windows OS or Mac OS. However, a Chromebook is an entirely different species of laptop that runs on the Google’s Chrome OS . The Chromebooks are not the one to be struck off lightly, this is exactly the feeling Microsoft also might have gotten. As despite the launch of Windows 10 with the helpful Cortana Assistant, Microsoft hasn’t increased the prices of the Windows laptops.
While that was one side of the story, Google on the other hand is making the most of what it could with its Chromebook announcing that Chromebooks will now be able to run the Android apps. It doesn’t come much as a surprise as it is more or less expected that the Android applications will run on the Chromebook, however, it is nice to see that the Google is giving the assurance to its users that all the Chromebooks released in or after 2017 ...
... will have the ability to run the Android apps.
Google has surprised the Chromebook users last year by announcing the Google Play Store Support, where over a million Android Apps were opened up to the users. Currently there are only three Chromebooks that support the Play Store –Acer Chromebook R11, ASUS Chromebook Flip and Google’s own Chromebook Pixel (2015). However, that’s about to change as Google is trying to update over a dozen of existing Chromebook models with the Android app support.
It is actually one of the most interesting moves made by the Google which will ramp up the sales of the Chromebooks as the users would get more to play around with. This year should be an interesting time to see how Google launches its Chromebooks. As seen in the Consumer Electronics Show(CES), there are quite a lot of Chromebooks coming up with the Android App support like Samsung’s Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro. ASUS on the other hand has pulled the wraps off Chromebook Flip C302CA.
Both Microsoft and Google have tried their best bringing the better versions of OS. Let us see how Chromebook fares up with a Windows Laptop.
Windows 10 has come with plethora of new options to attract the users. As soon as you click on the start button, the left side is filled with the most used programs and the recently installed apps etc. On the right, however, you can see all the updates in the animated form. The Cortana search bar is something that cannot be missed in the Windows 10 version. On the bottom right of the task bar, Windows 10 has a notification icon, which when clicked, opens up to you the alerts from the entire active and the dormant apps.
The latest Google Chrome OS on the other hand has something like a start button to the left side bottom corner. Once pressed, it takes us to the Google search bar along with the list of most recently used apps. When scrolled down, it takes us to Google Now that helps you find the information on the weather forecasts and suggests articles based on your search list.
One might want to match the Cortana of Windows 10 to Google Now of Chromebook. Interface wise Google Chrome OS is simpler to use and more user-friendly.
