Get A Rexroth Piston Pump For All Your Machinery Woes.

Hydraulic pump basically and primarily consist of gear pumps, rotary vane pumps, screw pumps and peristaltic pumps. It depends upon the machinery that what kind of hydraulic pump it has in it! Most of the machineries have screw pumps, some have gear pumps. Here we are going to discuss about the variable displacement pumps or as it is known as Rexroth piston pump. This pump is preferred over a fixed displacement (gear) pump for many reasons. A fixed displacement pump delivers a set volume of oil for each revolution of its drive shaft. Any of this fluid flow that is not required, by the hydraulic system, is sent back to the oil reservoir over a restriction. This oil flow times the pressure difference (between the system and the reservoir) is power that has been drawn from the engine and turned into heat. The heat generated is a direct indication of fuel wasted and of unnecessary wear and tear on the hydraulic fluid, and thus on the hydraulic system's mechanical components. On the other hand, this variable displacement pump monitors (senses) by way of a small hydraulic line connecting it to the control valves – the power requirement (load) on your hydraulic system and provides just enough fluid flow and pressure to meet your system's immediate need. This means that the pump can be left running constantly and as your system's requirement changes the pump will simply adjust itself accordingly. By doing this, energy is not wasted away in the form of heat; translating into fuel savings for you and less wear and tear in your hydraulic system. An adjustable pressure limit is also built onto the pump. It operates by reducing the output flow – all the way to zero if necessary – keeping the pressure supply to your hydraulic system from ever going too high. Different maximum displacements (sizes) with standard mounting flanges are available to match the needs of your system. Also, various combinations of drive shafts (splined or keyed), rotation directions (left hand or right hand) and port locations (rear or side) can be chosen to facilitate your particular installation requirements (Direct engine mounting as well as transmission power take off mounting can be accommodated).
The Rexroth piston pump generates, controls, and regulates a hydraulic fluid flow. The A10VO is designed for mobile applications such as construction machinery. The A10VSO is designed for stationary applications such as tooling machines. The A10VO and A10VSO are variable pumps with axial piston rotary group in swashplate design for hydrostatic drive in an open circuit. Flow is proportional to drive speed and displacement. The flow can be steplessly changed by adjusting the swashplate. For axial piston units with swashplate design, the pistons are arranged axially with respect to the drive shaft. In an open circuit, the hydraulic fluid flows from the reservoir to the hydraulic pump from where it is fed to the consumer, e.g. hydraulic motor. From the consumer, the hydraulic fluid flows directly back to the reservoir. Torque and rotational speed are applied to the drive shaft by an engine. The drive shaft is connected by splines to the cylinder to set this in motion. With every revolution, the pistons in the cylinder bores execute one stroke whose magnitude depends on the setting of the swashplate. The pistons hold the slipper pads onto the glide surface of the swashplate with the retaining plate and guide them along. The swashplate setting during a rotation causes each piston to move over the bottom and top dead centers and back to its initial position. Here, hydraulic fluid is fed in and drained out through the two control slots in the control plate according to the stroke displacement. On the suction side hydraulic fluid flows into the piston chamber as the piston recedes. At the same time, on the high-pressure side the hydraulic fluid is pushed out of the cylinder chamber into the hydraulic system by the pistons. The swivel angle of the swashplate is steplessly variable. Controlling the swivel angle of the swashplate changes the piston stroke and therefore the displacement. The swivel angle is changed hydraulically by means of the stroke piston. The swashplate is mounted for easy motion in swivel bearings and it is kept in balance by the opposing piston. Increasing the swivel angle increases the displacement; reducing the angle results in a corresponding reduction in displacement.

After you get the Rexroth piston pump, it is important to get the first commissioning properly done. The first step is filling the axial piston unit. Professional filling and air bleeding is necessary to prevent damage to the axial piston unit and to maintain correct function. Then, you need to go for the testing the hydraulic fluid supply. The axial piston unit must always have a sufficient supply of hydraulic fluid. For this reason, the supply of hydraulic fluid must be ensured at the start of the commissioning process. When you test the hydraulic fluid supply, constantly monitor the noise development and check the hydraulic fluid level in the reservoir. If the axial piston unit becomes louder (cavitation) or the case drain fluid is discharged with bubbles, this is an indication that the axial piston unit is not being sufficiently supplied with hydraulic fluid. The final step in the first commissioning is performing the functional test. Mixing up the ports will lead to malfunctions (e.g. lift instead of lower) and thus to corresponding danger to persons and equipment. Before the functional test, check whether the piping specified in the hydraulic circuit diagram has been installed. Once you have tested the hydraulic fluid supply, you must perform a functional test on the machine/system. The functional test should be performed according to the instructions of the machine/system manufacturer. The axial piston unit is checked for functional capability before delivery according to the technical data. During commissioning, it must be ensured that the axial piston unit was installed properly in the machine/system. After starting the engine, check in particular the specified pressures, e.g. system pressure and case pressure. If required, disconnect the gage and plug the ports with threaded plugs.
