But for that the case must fall within a particular time frame.

Tax Proofs

Both parties must submit their last three year’s tax returns to the USCIS. If either or both of you are unemployed, then you must showcase some form of proof regarding your earnings through authorized checks and slips. You have to translate them, if required. Remember, USCIS won’t accept any informal document, so present only official ones. They are applicable even if they’re in a different language.

Physical Meetings

For the finalization of the application, there must be proof of visitation. Remember, USCIS won’t count your Skype meetings. You will have to provide the proofs of physical visits only. You can submit transportation information, airline tickets, or any other officially recognized travel documents as your proof of visit. If you’re unable to present such evidence, then fear not – the USCIS even accepts phone call records, photographs, and letters.

Criminal Convictions

If either you or your loved one has been convicted for some crime, then related documents must be provided. Failure to do so might bar the foreign party from entering the country. Convictions do not extend only to the last five years. Conviction records are evaluated prior to approval. It may be overlooked if the crime took place before the past five years, the offense was minimal, or if there is proof of rehabilitation.

Medical Check-up

Every foreign individual must submit a fully authorized medical examination report to gain entry into the US. The report should clearly mention that the person is of sound mind and free from contagion.
