Avantika University, an MIT Pune campus in Ujjain was felicitated with a certificate from Indo-Swiss Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP) conferred by Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Dr. Prasheel Suryawanshi, Project Director for Avantika University, Ujjain received this credential at the International Conference on Energy Efficient Building Design: "Experiences and Way Forward" on 28th November 2016 at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi. Drawing on Switzerland's experience and expertise in the field, BEEP is promoting energy efficient building design in India. This certification will help Avantika University with the right technical assistance to design and construct an energy efficient building structure at Ujjain that will contribute In the reduction of energy consumption.
