In the industries, magnesium oxide is mainly used in producing magnesite products. The high class lubricating oils grade magnesium oxide mainly used in processing the high class lubricating oils’ detergent, vanadium inhibitor and desulfurizing agent. It increases the lubricating film’s compactness and rheological characteristic greatly, and reduces ash.
The food grade magnesium oxide is applied to food additives, stabilizer for color and pH regulators, and as the extender of health products and the foods’ magnesium element. What’s more, it also can be used as the decolorising agent of hard sugar purification and the pH regulators of ice cream powder.
The application fields of pharmaceutical grade magnesium oxide: In the biological pharmacy field, the pharmaceutical grade magnesium oxide can be used as antacid, adsorbent, desulfurizing agent, deleading reagent and pH regulators. In addition, it can restrain and relieve hyperacidity, heal stomach ulcers and duodenal ulceration.
The silicon steel grade magnesium oxide has a good magnetic permeability and excellent insulating property. In order to control and overcome the silicon-steel cores’ bow wave and skin effect loss in the potential transformer, it can form a fine insulating layer and permeability medium on the surface of silicon steel sheet. And, it can improve the silicon steel sheet’s insulating property and used as high temperature annealing release agent.
The nanometer grade magnesium oxide has obvious small size effect, surface effect, quantum size effect and quantum tunnel effect. There is no large reunite in fiber after modification treatment. In the aspects of optical, catalysis, magnetic, mechanics, chemical and so on, there are many exceptional functions and important application value. Therefore, it is the important new material. And the prospects are broad.
