While obesity has become a global concern, being skinny doesn't get the attention of majority. But, as per a study being underweight is also an important issue and should be treated with same importance. Though the good news is that the adverse health effect of being low-weight isn’t as serious or fast as being obese. There might be several reasons of being underweight; may be a genetic issue, nutrition issue, digestive issue, some serious illness or side effect of any medicine or addiction. There is medical way to distinguish if a person is underweight, known as Body Mass Index. It compares between your height and weight and gives you some numbers. You can get several free BMI calculator online and all are same. There are three level of this number - below 18.5, 18.5 to 24, and above 24. If you are above 24, you are obese. If it is between 18.5 and 24, you have a perfect figure. And if you are under 18.5, you are simply underweight.



So, How to Gain Weight


There are several ways that you have to follow simultaneously to get quicker result. And of course you have to stop taking those street side fast food and spicy junk foods. Start your day by a nutrition rich heavy breakfast. At noon take a large meal; if you can't eat much, take high protein meal. At evening take some snacks, preferably if you can add some fresh fruits, a toast, boiled egg etc. Of course, if you take fruits, avoid tea or coffee. At dinner avoid all types of tough to digest dishes. Keep it simple and nutritious. If you can afford, order some organic food supplements online from any reputed brand and take it as directed.



What Not to Do


Don't behave crazy to gain weight too quickly and start taking steroid tablets. All these are highly dangerous and have serious effects if you take for long time. And the worst thing is, as soon as you stop taking these medicines, you’ll return back to square one within a few weeks. The only thing that would carry forwarded is the damage caused to your health.
