Understanding The High-performance Language Matlab
Total Articles: 290
MATLAB is a programming language which is used for technical computing operations. This high-performance language provides an easy to use environment for all the computing and visualization problems and expresses them in understandable mathematical expressions.
If you are about to run a program which is based on array-based data, you can run it faster on MATLAB rather than C or FORTRAN platform.
MATLAB as a Calculator
At its simplest, you can say that MATLAB is a calculator. It calculates various arithmetic operations in no time.
And you will get an answer saying =5.
And you will see 18 on your desktop screen.
Not only this, you can get results of squares also. For example type 3^2, and to no surprise you will get the right answer i.e. 9.
This truly reflects that working on the MATLAB platform is quite similar to working on a calculator. But yes, this time the calculations are far scientific and complex as you do in a casual calculator.
Working with Variables on MATLAB
It is true that MATLAB can be used as a calculator and in fact it is being used as a calculator in many platforms but being a programming language it has much more to offer.
If you have gone through MATLAB training ever, you would have learned that MATLAB is much more than a computing language. It possesses all the basic components that a programming language usually has. For example, “Variables”.
If you have basic knowledge of programming, you might be aware of what the variable are and what is the functionality that they perform?
If not, let’s take a glance at variables first.
Variable is an element which is used assumed to carry a value during the computing operations. Making it more clear, let’s take an example.
a=3, here “a” is a variable carrying a numerical value 3. Whatsoever times it is used in your program, the variable “a” will denote 3 only.
Variables are used for computing operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Again taking an example,
Suppose you have two variables,
You can perform addition operation with the help of these variables by making a command,
and the answer will be, 5 of course.
MATLAB is available on many platforms including Windows, UNIX, and other operating systems.
Other than numeric calculations, MATLAB allows you to process many other functions as well. Some of them are:
• Signal Processing
• Image Processing
• Communication systems
• Filter designing
• Control Design systems
MATLAB is a language mastering which can bring good career offers to you. To master this high-performance language, you can undergo an online Matlab course. Learning under the guidance of industry experts and taking deep insights of MATLAB accompanied with practical hands-on sessions is what you can expect from such training.
Hope this works for you.
