Ganesh's Much-awaited Mungaru Male 2 Releases This Friday!

The runaway hit Kannada film “Mungaru Male” of 2006 is all set for its sequel. Titled as “Mungaru Male 2”, the film will take off from where the first film ended. This is directed by one of the ace Kannada film makers, Shashank, and features superstar Ganesh in the lead role. The film will also have V. Ravichandran, Neha Shetty, P. Ravi Shankar and Sadhu Kokila in pivotal roles. Ganesh will reprise his role of Preetham. Neha Shetty is replaced by Pooja Gandhi in the sequel. Arjun Janya has scored the music of this film.

The music of Mungaru Male 2 was released last month. The album, composed by Arjun Janya, has five songs. Singers like Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal have rendered their voices for the songs. Arjun has also introduced Bollywood singer Armaan Malik and Rajasthani folk singer Swaroop Khan to Kannada, and has also brought in Kannada singers Chandan Shetty and Anuradha Bhat for the album. The music of the film has received an overwhelming reception by the audience. The lyrics are given by Shashank, Jayant kaikini, Chandan Shetty and Gopi.

The first look and the teaser of the movie has built up an excitement and curiosity amongst the audience. For the first time in the Kannada film industry an audio teaser of a film was released and the fans just loved it.

Unlike the previous film, which was completely shot in rains, this film is shot over two seasons – Summer and Monsoon. Most of the scenes of the film are shot in the picturesque locations of Karnataka. Few fight sequences are shot in the region of Jog Falls in the Sangara region. It was also reported that Ganesh would also fly to Slovenia along with the lead heroine to shoot for a romantic song there.

The film has got an incredible technical team. Shekar Chandru is the cinematographer of this film. K. M Prakash is supervising the editing works. Thriller Manju, Ravi Varma and Stunt Shiva are the action directors of the film. The film is produced under the banner of E.K Pictures and Gokul Films has picked up the distribution rights of Mungaru Male 2 in Karnataka. The film is all set to hit the theatres this Friday!
