Olive oil is not only used in the kitchen but has other uses to it as well. Olive oil skin care is the best skin care you'll ever find. To harness the skin care benefits, do the following things

1) Olive Oil Bath
One of the simplest yet effective methods is taking an olive oil bath. Add around 5 tablespoons to your tub of water and you are ready. You can use than that if you like. However, if the idea of putting olive oil in your tub does not seem appealing, apply some on your body before going into the bath tub. Clean off all the extra oil after you are done and see your skin change. Olive oil adds the right amount of moisture and makes it super soft.

2) Olive Oil Body Lotion
No need to buy any expensive body lotions because olive oil does the trick better. Just after you've had your bath, use olive oil as body lotion. It makes the skin tender, glows and extremely smooth.

3) Makeup Remover
Olive oil makes for a very effective makeup remover. Put few drops of olive oil on a cotton pad and gently rub your skin with it. It removes the makeup while gently nourishing your skin. If your makeup is heavy, rub olive oil over it and then gently wipe it with a washcloth saturated with warm water, followed by washing the face with cold water.

The multitude of benefits makes it even good for hair care. Olive hair oil comes with a treatment which is quick and easy. Applying olive oil directly to your hair has various benefits. Also, if you want your hair to be nourished and healthier, you can add two tablespoons of olive oil to one egg yolk and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Applying this on your hair for 15 minutes followed by washing with a shampoo and conditioning, will make your hair shinier and softer.

Last but not the least; you can use olive oil for face as well. Homemade face masks using olive oil prove to be of great help in keeping the skin hydrated and baby soft. A tablespoon of olive oil with one egg yolk and one tablespoon lemon juice can be applied to the face for 5-10 minutes and you will be amazed by the results.
