The UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Listing Mark
Product that carry this mark passed the Underwriters Laboratories published Standards for Safety, this mark is usually carried by appliances and computer equipment, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems among others. UL is one of several companies approved by US federal agency Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The CE (European Commission) Mark
CE has been described as the manufacturer’s passport in selling products in European market, once it is marked CE these products will not go further validation but each product with CE mark must be covered with the so called “New Approach” directives in order for the product to circulate in European market.
Energy Star (trademarked ENERGY STAR)
It originated from United States which is an International standard for energy efficient consumer products, since the creation of ENERGY STAR other countries such as Canada, Australia, Asian countries and European Union adopted the program. This certification means that products bearing this mark such as computers, appliances, servers, imaging and lighting equipment is consuming 20-30% less energy consumption.
