The School of International studies program justifies SIU's motto, “Promoting International Understanding through Quality Education” for over 40 years. Symbiosis International University Pune boasts of students from around 85 countries including India who pursue their graduation and post graduation from the affiliated institutes. SSIS, a proud affiliate institute of SIU not only offers quality education and exposure to its students but also provides headship and hold up to internationalize the university grounds and curricula.

With SSIS, Symbiosis is providing a large platform to the students by giving them an opportunity to participate in Global Affairs and spreading Indian Culture and Tradition all over the world. Most SIU campuses are fully residential and also offer facilities like Heath Care Centre, auditorium and swimming pool.

International studies master’s degree

The International Studies Master’s degree is mainly on students who have a keen interest in inheriting the specialized knowledge about any part of the world or an area associated to international business. Areas can be: strategic issues, conflicts, global theory and international business or development. Now days, schools are focusing more on international language so that the students can easily reach their ambitions without language being a barrier. For MA in International studies a student should be well equipped with his/her language skills.

MA in International Studies

The Masters of Arts in international studies at SSIS gives good knowledge on threats, troubles, challenges and broad variety of opportunities with reference to the International Relations; which is international economics alongwith local and worldwide governance. The international economics includes trade, finance, international law, investment, security and defence. This course gives a balanced knowledge of theory and its application in practical world that makes a student realize his/her career goals.

It is a 2 year program divided into four semesters. The first two semesters includes all the areas of International and Global economics, relations, organization and communication, Research, Human Rights and Peace study, and disaster management. Third and forth semester comprise of Internship and Dissertation with Viva Voce.

Placements after MA in International studies

The students who opted to MA in International Relations may go for Public and Private sector either in India or in any foreign country.

National Intelligence Agency

Ministry of Home and External Affairs

Multinational Corporations

Private volunteer organization and many more other jobs.
