Sometimes "beauty school" is known as any school that offers any kind of beauty program, be it comprehensive or niche. Therefore, whether you want to do an overall hair salon course or something as specific as a dental cosmetics program for teeth whitening, a beauty school may have just what you need. Specialities such as laser hair removal do not fall under the category of barber schools but should be available at beauty schools. Majority of students at a barber school are males and hence courses may be tailored to that gender. For example: learning how to do facial shaving with different types of razors.
Make-up artist school and beauty school
A make-up artist school would focus solely on training to be a make-up artist and the application of cosmetics onto a client. On the other hand, there are also several cosmetology schools that not only offer teeth whitening programs but also beauty programs that teach make-up. For further assurance, always ask the school you are planning on joining what make-up courses are on offer in their beauty program. A make-up artist can apply cosmetics for photography purposes, models, broadcasting journalists, filming actors, wedding hosts and attendees, costume, theatre and much more.
Beauty school, college, academy or institute
A beauty school, a beauty college and a beauty academy are all one and the same. These are interchangeable terms and have much to do with how the institute wants to brand itself to the public. The programs on offer for each of these should be very similar. Therefore whether it is a school, college, academy or institute you wish to go to, make sure the programs you are interested in are available.
