Whether it is a domestic or a commercial property, the quality of the building would depend on the materials that are used to create it from scratch. Among the different types of materials that are extensively used for making buildings, one that deserves special mention is fly ash bricks. Unlike the conventional clay bricks, these fly ash bricks offer far greater consistence when it comes to shape, size and quality. So let’s have a look at the basic properties and aspects of these bricks.

Fly ash is a form of a residue produced when coal is combusted to create electricity. The residue is gradually formed when gaseous emissions of coal get cooled. The fly ash has the appearance of a fine glassy powder. However, chemical components of the fly ash may vary greatly from one unit to another. The powder is often collected from the power plant chimneys and is used for a wide range of industrial applications. Sometimes fly ash is used as an alternate form of cement by mixing it with lime and water. Builders often prefer working with fly ash as it is smooth, dense and resistant to erosion by chemicals. Moreover, it has high durability which makes it ideal for advanced construction purposes.

This material is also quite eco friendly and causes little environmental pollution if any. It is also quite easy to work with and yields great results. For this reason, it is extensively used for the purpose of making bricks. The bricks are manufactured from the final remains of the burnt coal. Compared to many other building materials, fly ash bricks are held to be environment friendly. They are also much hardier and durable which is why they are ideal for construction projects. The best part of working with these bricks is that they are never really affected by the changes in the weather conditions. The bricks are also resistant to the penetration of water or moisture as the basic chemical structure of these bricks is made out of closed cells. The bricks are also far more cost effective than many other forms of building materials.

Currently there are numerous online sources from where one can buy fly ash bricks. Apart from fly ash bricks, these online stores also offer a range of other products such as paver block items, cement, tiles and paints that are regularly used by builders for various projects.

eConstructionMart is India’s dedicated construction and building material marketplace. The various materials such as Fly ash bricks, Clay bricks and Paver block are supplied by them to various customers all across the country. They provide all brand materials at discounted price.
