A wedding invitation is not just a letter given out to call people to attend your wedding. It is much more than just a card with colorful texts and glitz. A typical wedding card is distributed to guests, friends and family almost five to eight weeks before the final wedding day.

Like other kind of invitations a wedding invitation is sent out by the host to ask for the blessings of the friends and family for the young couple. There are many things which are associated with an Indian wedding card which has great significance.

Associated factors that must be kept in mind while making an Indian wedding card

Text –

Based on the respective state, its cultural, language and traditional norms the different texts are written in an Indian invitation card. The tone of the wordings in the wedding card is format and straightforward in nature. The wedding text contains the name of the host, the name of the bride and the groom and their respective parents and also contains the necessary information about the time, date and venue of the wedding.

Important information – A wedding card must have useful information regarding the venue. Many times we see our guests struggling to find the wedding venue. A hand drawn map put inside the wedding envelope can make it easy.

Designs of wedding cards has gone through enormous changes in recent years. Depending on the budget and theme theme of the wedding individuals can choose the perfect design as per their choice.

Wedding cards can be printed digitally or they can be made from handmade papers. Both have their individual significance and variations. Printing methods used on wedding cards are engravings, techniques of lithography, thermography printing with letterpress and also embossing. Beautiful handmade wedding cards can also be made and given as they have their own appeal.

Carrier choosing-

Decisions are taken as how these cards will be sent out. For local guests it is always recommended to personally hand them over the card.
