Did you know that Veronika Desinička, how stories says, is built into the rock above the knight's salon, placed between pentagonal tower and entrance, that is part of Veliki Tabor? Most famous story version says that young lord Fridrich Celjski killed his wife Elizabeth, which was the only child of prince Stjepan I. Frankopan, because of beautiful Veronika. Fridrich's father, Herman Celjski heard about that and he drowned Veronika and after that she was built into walls. Except this story there are another versions and other related stories about this beautiful castle, placed in northwest Croatia. Although, many stories didn't happen, people love to hear ...
