Public data about individuals arrested and booked into the County of Marin jail can be obtained from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Records Division. The Marin County Sheriff's Office also provides both Live Scan and ink fingerprinting. After careful evaluation, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) then transmits the results of the scans to the requesting company within 3 to 14 days. This service calls for an appointment. Requesting agencies must check with the Sheriff’s Office for the needed request forms and for other special instructions or requirements.
