Is It The Right Time For A Baby?

This is one question that can never be answered by anyone but you. Yes, it’s life changing but change is constant! More often than not, we get stuck at this question before we begin anything in life. Take up an opportunity, the beginning of a relationship, start of a project, or when you want to have a baby, or just about everything.

When most couples are enjoying the company of one another and do not feel the need of shouldering additional responsibility that’s when they ask this question to one another. Most couples that I have met are in eternal denial of the right time. The right time is so subjective! It could be now and you are letting it go or could be later and you’ve taken the plunge now. Who decides the right time? In today’s dynamic day and age you just don’t know when life will turn at which bend and all that seems right, is not.

To just make it easier for couples to decide when is the right time to have a baby, I would only say don’t delay it. You will never be ready for it. Even while I was pregnant with my first baby, I got jitters to know that yes it’s happened, I’m responsible for ...

Yes, having a baby is a huge responsibility especially for the woman. Her life changes completely – emotionally, physically and mentally.
Is the transformation worth it? That’s a question that can only be answered when you feel the baby move inside you and kick you in the middle of the night or just after delivery when you hold your baby for the first time in your hands or when nothing else pacifies the baby but the mother.

Parenthood is the only act you will never regret and never want to reverse in life. The right time is now when you are young and can run behind your child while she bicycles along or when he always wants to play cricket and you don’t complain of a back ache. Being young parents has a lot of advantages. The woman is fitter and hence conceiving, pregnancy and labour are less complicated. You are energetic and enthusiastic about parenthood. Your relationship with your spouse grows with the baby and you are still not stubborn about your thoughts and beliefs and will make adjustments.

With the stress that modern day couples go through it’s only advisable to take the plunge earlier as you never know how long it’s going to be? It could be the first time, 6 months, a year, 5 years, or forever until you decide alternative options. And yes, failure causes immense disappointment.

So if all is well, don’t delay it. Earlier the better for sure cause there is no wrong or right time!
