In city planning terms, an excellent example would be to have the goal of developing a revenue plan for a city. This is then further divided into sub-goals like researching potential revenue sources, looking into a city’s expenses, and others. These projects are then assigned to experienced employees for efficient implementation.
The second part is when these objectives are evaluated—the review process. Monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews update higher-ups and the company at large about the progress towards the objectives.
