The island country of Maldives is popularly known for being one of the most exotic holiday destination in the whole world. The island is in the middle of Indian Ocean and geographically falls in the southwest side of India and Sri Lanka.

These are perfect to take a glance of the spectacular under water life in the coral reefs of the island. Elsewhere, the depth is a problem. The northern areas, in general, have better reefs and healthier macro life. There are some luxurious resorts with diving sites nearby which is extremely convenient for tourists from outside. The ideal season for diving runs all around the year although the recommended months are between November and May.

Maldives is also famous for its surfing scenario. The beach offers a plenty of alternatives and opportunities for surfing fanatics. Pasta point, Sultans, Honky’s etc. are some of the top-notch surfing points. Surfing is considered to be a cool sport globally. It is refreshing as well as significantly good for the health. Maldives get surfers from all around the globe.

It goes without saying that place is more inclined towards marine food. Different types of exotic fish foods, coconuts and curries make up the habitual cuisine of the island. There are several restaurant serving dishes based on such marine food items. They are sumptuous and greatly complements the island as a holiday destination.
