The piano is a keyboard based musical instrument. The piano is quite a complex musical structure in its composition, structure as well as techniques of playing music with it. Despite its complexity, it is preferred widely in genres of jazz and classical music all over the world. No wonder, the demand for learning to handle, manage and play the instrument is increasing day by day. However, it is good to note that mastering an instrument as complex as the piano is not a matter of joke It is a matter of time and patience. There are certain ways following which ardently while you are in your learning curve can even help you become a maestro in piano later on. You should be well aware of these ways for being a pro in later stages of life.

Firstly, regular practice is a must for becoming a pro player in later stages of life. You need to practice at least for one hour every day. Maintaining a proper routine for your practice every day is necessary to become a pro piano player. Secondly, whenever you get some extra time during weekends or holidays, make sure that you devote some time out of those extra hours to your piano lessons. This is necessary to improvise your learning and be better than the best players. Thirdly, listen to the piece of music that you been allotted. Listening to a piece of music before practicing it offers you a better sense of rhythm, tune and beats so that you can become alert wherever you go wrong.

Fourthly, you need to keep a note of the mistakes you are committing while you play the instrument during your practice. This way you can rectify your mistakes after consultation with your teacher in the piano class and try avoiding them next time when you practice alone. It is very important to note here that you should not consider your mistakes as a burden. You should always consider them a stepping stone to your success and try playing the portion (where you were making the mistake) over and over until you have finally mastered the piece flawlessly. Fifthly, to become a pro player in later stages of life you need to have stage freeness. Having a phobia of facing a stage cannot make you a great player. For getting rid of your stage fright, you need to first play in front of your family, friends and relatives without any fear or hesitation. This will give you the boost to face a large audience later on. Last but not the least, you should have adequate patience to become dexterous at handling, maintaining and playing an instrument as complex as the piano.
